Cuckoo Singing at Broadhead Clough LNR 02.06.2014

I heard this Cuckoo (Cuculus canorus) singing at the top of the wood whilst I walking through the the fields.  I did hear one earlier this year in Hathershelf Scout Wood but every every time I pressed record it stopped singing, so I was very pleased to be able to capture this one today.

  1. Great sound Alison.
I have yet to come across one this year.
The sound seems so far carrying, you would think they would be more obvious than they are.

  2. Yes Steve, you would think so wouldn't you. I wish that I could have seen it too.
