Tawny Owls in long term decline

Field voles populations are stable. They used to fluctuate wildly and glut years let the tawny owls breed. Owls will slowly die out over the next decades.   1. I have had at least 3 different males calling in Northowram this month, has any one else herd any.?? There is a pair roosting in Queensbury as well.

  2. Found a dead one, half decomposed, in the wood near the Donkey Pond, Pellon, today.
