Plantation Hare

A much cropped shot of a Brown Hare I watched in a field for about 20 minutes off  Back Lane, Ogden. I average one of these about every two years if I'm lucky!

  1. Nice one Nigel. I have only seen them near Noah Dale locally and then only briefly.

  2. Yes, I see them in Noah Dale. Also last autumn on 23rd Sept there was one at the top of Stoodley glen, and there again exactly a week later when I took a party of fungus forayers up there. Hares are often site faithfull. I have seen one more than once on Staups Moor above Todmorden. There are rare well spaced out records of Mountain Hares in Calderdsale
