Plant ID

Can anyone identify this for me please.

Growing quite extensively on a wall in Upper Greetland near The Sportsman (Dog Lane).
Looks like it should be a garden escape? Nigel O

  1. Pennywort Umbilicus rupestris

  2. There are a few patches around Calderdale. Common name Navelwort.
I have added it to my records, thanks.

  3. Wall Pennywort. There is also a Marsh Pennywort in Calderdale, in bogs on high land, which is unrelated.
The place to see masses of Wall Pennywort (Navelwort) is Hollins Lane and Hollins Mill Lane, Sowerby Bridge, but wasn't known there till the mid 1990s.
