If you click on the Calderdale Birds tab at the top you can get the full story of how it was rescued. There's an earlier post with the story, then a second post with a picture of it. (Now it appears two were found in different places!)
Correction: Apparently one young otter has been made into two due to confusion on Facebook!
Just wondering if there was any follow-up to this incident re; (a) identification - a former county wildlife recorder/mammal biologist thought the photo looked more like a young mink - and (b) recommended that, however well intentioned, an otter cub should not normally be 'rescued' and will often be better off left where found
ReplyDeleteIf it was an a otter cub and is repatriated successfully then that would be good news.
