Ringlet ?

This at Jay House this morning. Is it a Ringlet without rings ?

  1. Yes, I would say it is, Fran. I saw a few down Cromwell Bottom the other day that looked like this that I took to be Ringlets.
    The really definite eye-rings are on the underside of the wing.
    The white edge is distinctive as well, I think.

    Jay House Lane can be really good for butterflies. There were lots of Gatekeepers last year.
