Lost Otter Cub at Hebden Bridge

If you click on the Calderdale Birds tab at the top you can get the full story of how it was rescued. There's an earlier post with the story, then a second post with a picture of it. (Now it appears two were found in different places!)

Correction: Apparently one young otter has been made into two due to confusion on Facebook!

  1. Just wondering if there was any follow-up to this incident re; (a) identification - a former county wildlife recorder/mammal biologist thought the photo looked more like a young mink - and (b) recommended that, however well intentioned, an otter cub should not normally be 'rescued' and will often be better off left where found

If it was an a otter cub and is repatriated successfully then that would be good news.
