White Holme, 20th April 2019

A walk to White Holme, from Turvin Road, and part way along the drain, brought me my first green hairstreak up here, plus many green tiger beetles, a few emperor moths and lots of peacock butterflies.  I also heard a reeling grasshopper warbler and a merlin flew northwards over.  It was also nice to bump into and chat with a man from Halifax Scientific Society.  I think he was called Pete Smith.
