  1. A sickening and tragic end to a Peregrine that as already managed to make it this far,not many survive their 1st Winter out of a brood. It also just shows how much pressure our Raptors are under at present.Take for example on Forest of Bowland and many other Grouse Shooting Estates ,Persecution is now far worse than previous Years It's hard to believe that we in this Country bang on about other Countries destruction of Birds and Wildlife when in reality it's rife in our own back yard ,It is Sickening ! I urge anyone to sign Dr Mark Averys Petition to Ban Driven Grouse Shooting,if you haven't already, the link is on this blog.

  2. This is indeed a horrifying incident and goes to show that we still have a long way to go before we can guarantee the safety of our raptors. Brian, you are right, it is nothing short of hypocrisy how we fail so miserably at protecting our wildlife. We are supposed to be a nation of animal lovers but there is little evidence of this judging from our legislation.
