Bees in cop
These bees flew in whilst in cop. They stayed like this for 20 minutes then flew off separately. Any comments re the bees?
Thanks Steve for the Rosa I.D.

  1. "in cop" is that an entomological term for copulating? Never heard it before.
The second rose is Rosa rugosa, (Japanese Rose.) They have the huge, sometimes up to c. 3cm wide fruits (hips) that Greenfinches often peck into and hollow out the seeds.
