Frog tadpoles



A seething mass of frog tadpoles were in one of the ponds at Oats Royd nature reserve a few days ago, in about 12 clumps.

  1. I have a pet theory that their black colour helps them absorb energy from the sun or bright day light, and their habit of congregating into a mass like this makes it more effective.
