Fungi at Ogden

Possibly Panellus serotinus.

 Stereum hirsutum

 Stereum hirsutum
These are some of the Fungi seen at Ogden on Monday. Thanks to Michael for the I.D.

  1. I once cooked and attempted to eat the Razor Strop Fungus that grows on trees (I also once knew the scientific name!). Please don't follow suit, no matter how much you spice and stew it the end result is sheer monotony.

  2. Some of the conditions you tackle Soil Hill in makes me think on magic mushrooms!

  3. Hi Brian, I cannot remember going up there. What are you trying to say?
